MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS of the WESTERN PUBLIC SERVICE SYSTEM

The meeting was called to order at 1845 by the president, N3ETA

11 of 13 directors being present, a quorum was declared

the minutes from the previous meeting.
KD7MEK moved
and W0QNI seconded
that:
The minutes be accepted.
Motion passed unanimously.
K6RAU gave
the treasurer's report - current balance is $12, 845. WB6YAM has made a
deposit for the summer BBQ of $215 and will be reimbursed therefor. The
report was accepted without comment or change.
No other committee reports were given.
Old Business
W6PXD moved
and W0QNI seconded
that:
The summer BBQ be held at the same location as last year - Laguna Seca;
that the dates be July 30, 31 and August 1; that WB6YAM be
named BBQ chairman and prize chair; that Sharon, his wife be spouse
prize chair.
Motion passed unanimously.
W0QNI moved
and W6NFL seconded
that:
The fee for the BBQ be kept at $10.
Motion passed unanimously.

that:
The prize budget for the BBQ be set at $3,000 for members and $500 for
spouses.
Motion passed unanimously.
New Business
KD7MEK moved
and KD7WIZ seconded
that:
KM6D be
named editor for the print version of the WPSS newsletter.
Motion passed unanimously.
W6NFL moved
and KD7MEK seconded
that:
The newsletter be primarily offered on the WPSS Web site, but that a
print version be available to those who request one.
Motion passed unanimously.
At the request of W6PXD,
N3ETA appointed
a committee to look into the feasibility of offering door prizes for the
twice yearly Hemet WPSS Luncheon. The committee is comprised of: W6PXD,
W0QNI, WD6CAX, WA6EFT, and WB6YAM.

that: The meeting be adjourned.
Motion passed unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 1940 hours.
