MEETING OF
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS March 15, 2009 - on 3952 KHz
The meeting was called to order at 1830 by the president,
N3ETA
Roll Call
Present
N3ETA, W6PXD, K6RAU, W7HUT, WD6CAX, KF6EW, KF6FSB, AA6MI*,
W0QNI, KG6UCW, KC6UUO
Absent
WA6EFT, WA6GJI
11 of 13 directors being present, a quorum was declared.
* at some point during the meeting AA6MI departed, which did
not impact either the quorum or voting on motions.
KF6FSB read the minutes from the previous meeting.
KG6UCW made a motion to keep annual net dues at $10.
W7HUT seconded the motion.
After discussion the motion was unanimously passed.
It was announced that prizes for the summer picnic had been
selected and would be ordered after approval.
W6PXD made a motion to have the membership vote on the question of keeping the start of early monitoring at 1800 and roll call at 1930 year-round.
KG6UCW seconded the motion.
After much spirited discussion the motion was passed with 1
nay vote.
N3ETA said he would make sure the membership is properly informed of the pros and cons prior to a vote.
W7HUT made a motion to place the calls of officers &
directors at the beginning of roll call in recognition
of their service and to alert members to their presence.
W0QNI seconded the motion.
After objections from several life members that they
should be first on the list, and despite the fact that
it was pointed out that half the board was life members,
W7HUT was convinced to amend his motion to place the
officers and directors second, between life members and
before regular members.
The motion was passed with 2 nay votes.
KF6FSB moved that the meeting be adjourned.
W6PXD seconded the motion.
After determining there were no objections, N3ETA
declared the meeting ended at approximately 1925.
